ORM16

Introduction

 ORM-16 CELL-RTU fiber converter is designed for the conversion from electric cable to fiber cable between the CELL and the RTU

            
 

The ORM-16c at CELL side turns 16 switch values from CELL in maximum into optical signals and send to the ORM16r at RTU side through fiber cable, then the ORM16r turns the optical signals into 16 switch value and send to RTU.

 ORM-16 CELL-RTU fiber optic transmission：

     

 
  CPU circuit can transform 16 switches input to series data, every 1s from the CUP interface. When the ORM-16 connect to the CELL-RTU, the data can be transmitted from the laser to the fiber through the switches on the front panel.

 If the ORM-16 connect with the CELL-SCADA station, then we can skip the RTU, the switches on the left 

 The second switch is to select the optical interface and the E1 interface, the data can be transmitted be the SDH when select the E1 interface.

 Alarm indicator

                                 

AIS light on : Optical signal not received at remote side, it should be off in normal state.

RNO light on: Optical signal not received at local side, it should be off in normal state.
