Intelligent PCM120

The PCM120 equipment can multiplexes 120 channels into 4-16 E1 data, and cross- connect all of the time slots through the network management software. The 120 channels of voice can cross-connect to any E1.

All the units cards could be of any interface cards, such as, S interface card, O interface card, 2/4 EM interface card, asynchronous data interface  card, synchronous data interface card, carrier magnet interface card, Ethernet interface card, and so on.

There are interface cards of 3 capacities for choice:  15 channels/card, 10 channels/card, 5 channels/card, 4 channels/card, 3 channels/card.

All stainless steel, with aluminum alloy. 19 inches in width, 6U in height. Totally 18 unit cards, the most left and the most right channels are the power supplies to make 1+1 protection. 4 channels in the center for the MUX, other 12 channels for the unit cards. 

Multiple protections have been applied for safety and reliability. There are lightening proof, anti-magnet anti-surge protections for the equipment. Each working circuit has its own power supply and recoverable fuse so that any error happening on single unit will not affect others. The enclosed construction of connectors prevent short circuits caused by external metals.


4E1 multiplex and cross connect card with 2 channels V.24/RS232 interfaces, and 2 channels of NX64Kbit/s V.35 interfaces.

Point to point

   
  • Used as 4 PCM30 equipments, makes point to point mode.

  • Adopting 4 E1 interfaces makes 1+1 protection and switching. Using one optical cable route, then use the microwave to backup. So when the cable is break off, the network software will switch automatically to another E1 port until the cable is repaired.

  • Using 4 E1 ports to make 3+1 lines protection and switch. For example, the optical cable route using the first 2M interface, the microwave using the second 2M interface, the spread spectrum using the third 2M interface and then connect the satellite to the forth 2M interface. The intelligent PCM network software will switch automatically to the second E1, when the optical cable break off. The rest can be done in the same manner.

 
                         
 

Point to multiple point

   
  • Using 16 2M interfaces dispatch the telephones from the central stations to the sub-stations, to make up point to multiple point mode. The PCM120 can connect with other PCM30 equipment made by other manufactures.

     


  • Using the multi-E1 protection switching can be achieved on the Ethernet channel protection.

    The Ethernet signal of the PCM120 take up 2M bandwidth, or 64k bandwidth, which E1 port to transmit the Ethernet signal can be set by the network management system.


  • Using the cross-connect function can change the 1 E1 port become many. Because the price of 2M port of the PBX is much higher than the main board of the PCM.   
    Using the CAS function of the MD110, to draw 1 2M from the TLU76-3, then distribute it to many 2M, transmitted by the fiber, connect with the telephone at the sub-stations.
